This threaded NPT coupling is typically what you'd have welded into your vessel as the bulkhead drain or to add any flexible ports. The full coupling gives you female threads on both ends allowing for male NPT threaded fittings of the same size to thread into both ends.

Available in 1/2" and 1/4" NPT sizes.

Made from cast 304 stainless steel. Note that the outside finish on these is typically MATTE or cast finish meaning that it has not been machined to shiny.

The 1/2" couplings measure approximately 1.06" outside diameter.
The 1/4" couplings measure approximately .75" outside diameter.

It's always best to measure them in person if you're trying to have them fit snug in a drilled hole for welding.
