The BrewHardware Extract version of a style-accurate Dry Irish Stout that everyone drinks on St Patrick's day. Why wait, brew it now!
Expect about a 4% ABV, black opaque color, creamy head, dry finish, with just enough bitterness to balance.
Requires a 16 quart boil kettle minimum. This kit is technically a mini mash or partial mash recipe because it contains some important grains that cannot just be steeped. The instructions are simple to follow so it should not dissuade you from trying it.
Included with the kit, malt extracts, steeping grains (if applicable), steeping bag, hops, yeast, priming sugar, 50 bottle caps. Not included: Bottles, 6 gallons of RO or Distilled water.
Makes 5 gallons of finished, packaged beer. Approximately 1.040 OG, 35 IBUs.
