This Pressure Relief Valve features a 1.5" TC flange (2" actual diameter on the flange). The large piston is much less likely to clog with krausen than the smaller threaded PRVs and is the safest way to vent excess pressure on fermentation tanks. The spring is sized to vent at approximately 15psi.

NOTE: Technically this is not built to have an adjustable pressure but due to the way the top cap holds spring pressure on the piston does make it possible to slightly alter the vent pressure. With the cap fully threaded down onto the body, it will vent somewhere between 15-18psi (spring pressure relief valves are not precision devices). You might decide to back that top cap out about one or two full turns to have it vent around 12-13psi. We do NOT recommend backing it out any further than that as you want to make sure the cap doesn't pop off. The cap will take a 3/8" drive ratchet.
