the only down side to this piece is the lack of check valves. But you should be able to work slowly and think through what you're connecting to avoid and issues of back pressure into the keg or beer out of the keg. Or save up and buy check valves later.
Other splitter I have has a hose barb inlet instead of male 1/4" threading like this one has. The threading inlet is better and more versatile, so that is another positive.
