The Vintageshop 6 gallon PET clear plastic carboy is a great alternative to those afraid of handling glass. These are similar to the BetterBottle type fermenter but they are made of thicker plastic which allows the sides to be smooth walled rather than have ribs for strength. You'll find people that prefer these over Better Bottles and vice versa be we think they look pretty good.

The mouth fits a No. 10 rubber stopper or the universal intermediate size.

Do not fill or clean with liquids hotter than 127 °F (53 °C).

Great sour fermenter	June 11, 2025

I normally ferment in a rounder. I bought this so I could do my sours. It is the perfect size for my batches. Already have my first mixed berry lemonade sour. Did what I needed it to. No problems. Shipping was on time with no delays. Great job from Bobby and his team. Thanks.
