This charge is for drilling single hole in a customer's vessel, and TIG welding a 3" or 4" TC ferrule. If we are doing this install on a brand new pot that is to be shipped to the customer, the install location must be clearly described in the check out notes, via email, etc.
It's best to do some pre-purchase consultation with use before adding this item to your cart because there are many situations where this size TC ferrule is impractical to weld. For example, we know from experience that a 4" ferrule cannot be welded into the thin lids found on most kettles. No matter how careful we are with heat control, it tends to warp the lid enough that it doesn't sit perfectly flat on the kettle any longer. We CAN get it work with a 3" ferrule as the warping is minimal but it has to be a high end kettle like SPIKE or BrewBuilt. We CAN get them into the top, bottom or sides of commercial kegs.
We understand that your precious brewing vessel is not an old trailer hitch in need of a quick bush-fix. We use custom made tooling to ensures that the weld is protected from oxygen. The interior of the welded area will remain clean and generally smooth.
