This particular thermowell is 15" long. The interior of the tube will accept up to 1/4" probes.

It includes a double drilled #6.5 gum rubber stopper so you can use the same opening for temperature measurement and airlock/blowoff. This stopper will fit into most 3, 5, 6, and 6.5 gallon glass carboys. 1" diameter at the small tapered end and 1.3" at the widest top end.

Thermowells are devices that install into your vessels (or within your threaded plumbing) that allow a thermometer, digital thermometer probe, or temperature controller sensor to be inserted but kept isolated from the liquid the thermowell is immersed in.re more simple and do not follow the formula above.

Note: This thermowell is sealed at the bottom using the crimp and weld technique. It is not rounded.
