As a hardware retailer for over 15 years, I don't think I've heard a more persistent pet peeve than this one. Why did SSbrewtech put a fixed integrated hose barb on their oxygenation/carbonation stone in their Unitanks? No one wants to leave a hose permenetly connected and if you get any beer that comes back, the hose has to come off for cleaning anyway. I like to switch between O2 pre-fermentation and CO2 post ferment and those come from different hoses.
Anyway, for a few years our solution was to have customers send us their stones and we'd retrofit to a ball lock male by cutting and welding and it involved shipping in two directions along with the weld labor. That's great, but you know what's even better? Just making the fitting the YOU can thread in yourself. No weld labor, no double shipping.
Just unthread the hose barb and thread this fitting in. Now your grey ball lock QDs snap right on. We even think the beer will taste better but that's just a hunch.
THIS IS JUST the conversion fitting. The SSBrewtech carb stone on the TC adapter with shutoff valve is NOT included. You already own that assembly if you have any SSbrewtech Uni tank or Brite tank, either original or 2.0.

304SS and BUNA oring. The fitting does NOT have a poppet valve built in. You will need to close the valve before disconnecting.
