A medium-mesh nylon bag with a curved bottom and straight cut top, 12" x 19". This is great for containing crushed spices or pellet hops in the boil. Note, while nylon can withstand boiling temps, it's best to keep it from sitting on the bottom of your boil kettle by suspending with string or wire. We actually like folding this bag over the top of the pot and holding it in place with a spring clamp or large binder clip. When the boil is over, you can lift the bag and clamp it up high on the side wall to allow all the wort to drain out from the hops. This bag would also work well when trying to build a DIY hop spider.

This medium mesh bag is great for steeping grains and smaller partial mash grain bills and will work great for whole hops. It will do a pretty good job with pellet hops, but some of the finer dust will get through. The benefit to the medium mesh is that you do get a bit more hop utilization than the finer bag provides.
