The mild mannered American Amber Ale style was a staple of the American Brew-pub since the late 1980's. I can close my eyes and picture several signs hanging over the bar that say something like "GABF Bronze Medal Winner, 1993". Sure, they've been around a while and even though they're not making waves in the craft beer industry anymore, this is a very good underrated beer.

Easy drinking and approachable for craft enthusiasts and casual beer drinkers alike. Caramel malts with slight toasted character compliment the mild pine and citrus hop flavor. Neutral fermentation if not slightly fruity and a medium dry finish.
Expect about a 5.3% ABV, amber beer with a high drinkability, malty semi-dry finish, with just enough bitterness to balance.

Requires a 16 quart boil kettle minimum.

Included with the kit: malt extracts, steeping grains, steeping bag, hops, yeast, priming sugar, 50 bottle caps.
Not included: Bottles, 6 gallons of RO or Distilled water.

Makes 5 gallons of finished, packaged beer. Approximately 1.053 OG, 25IBUs.
