When you want to turn a kettle's welded thermometer into a whirlpool return port but you find that it's a half coupling that can't be accessed internally, Spincycle REVERSE to the rescue.

We take a machine-bent 5/8" OD stainless tube and TIG weld it to the front of our premium hex nipple. The bent tube is inserted into the front of the half coupling and the nipple gets threaded all the way in. Now you're left with 1/2" Male NPT threads to thread a ball valve on.

Yes this is a pricey little gadget but we're building them by hand and it takes time to get it right. This will add a few days processing time to your order as TIG welding jobs do stack up.

Note: getting the bent outlet to face either left or right horizontally is a little tricky. We prefer to use the included oring to face seal to the coupling. If the outlet doesn't come to rest horizontally on your first try, wrap the threads with some teflon tape and rely on thread meshing to come to rest in the correct orientation. Trial and error with varying quantities of teflon tape will yield ultimate success. We have faith in you.
