These are made by Winters, a long respected player in the temperature measuring industry. They carry a 5 year warranty and feature a stainless steel probe and casing with a glass face. The thermometer is recalibratable via a screw on the back.  The range goes from 60 to 220 degrees F and also has a Celsius scale. Accuracy is plus or minus 2F like all bimetal thermometers. The back features male 1/2" NPT thread for mounting into plumbing or into a welded bung in your pot. To turn this into a weldless install, drill a 13/16" hole in your pot and use the "Make Weldless 1/2" Locknut kit" seen in the accessories list. If you are installing into a pot that will be direct fired over a high BTU outdoor cooker, you must install a heat shield to retain warranty. We will not honor claims for exterior damage or condensation problems if you have not purchased a heat shield.
