Description

If you bought a pot with a welded coupling for the drain ball valve, installing this diptube on the inside will help you drain most of the liquid out and this new version will get amazingly close to the sidewall of the pot to avoid most of the trub (especially if you whirlpool).

Options:
The base item inclues the 5/8" OD tube bent at a 135 degree angle, the retaining nut with 1/2" Female NPT, and a sealing oring. You will select this unit if you have MALE threads on the inside of your kettle. This configuration will also work with our TrueBulkheadMale unit.

If your kettle has 1/2" FEMALE NPT threads on the inside YOU WILL ALSO NEED TO PURCHASE the Premium Hex Nipple as shown in the accessories on the right. It works best if your female threaded port is flush with the inside wall of the kettle. This gets the open end of the tube right in to the corner.

MAY NEED TRIMMING in some pots. The main picture shows the unit installed in a BrewBuilt pot and it did not need trimming.

Note that the tubing portion of this diptube is really big. The OD is 5/8" and the ID is 9/16" for superior flow compared to all the other "maximizers" you find available.

4 of 5 Great mod for Anvil Foundry 10.5 July 27, 2022

I like how close it fits to the side, should help keep the whirlpool crud in the middle while draining.  still leaves a fair amount of wort in the Anvil (~1/2 gallon), so account for that in your recipe.

5 of 5 Sucks the kettle dry December 16, 2021

This does a great job taking the wort without the trub. Make sure you buy a nipple for a typical 1/2" NPT fitting to mate the female threads on the kettle to the female threads on this pickup.

5 of 5 Perfect November 4, 2021
Reviewer: Ryan Mooney from Neptune, NJ United States
I bought this for my Gas One 10 gallon kettle that I bought off of Amazon. The dip tube fit perfectly in the kettle and is very high quality, with a nicely sized ID. It sits just a few millimeters away from the wall of the kettle. I have not used it yet, but looking forward to brew day so I can try it.

I’m very happy with this angled dip tube. It screwed right onto the existing threads and worked great on its first brew.

5 of 5 High quality and big tube October 16, 2021
Reviewer: RyPA
Quality looks great, the tube is massive and definitely will move wort quickly, and it fit perfectly in my Gas One 10 gallon kettle without the need for additional parts. Cant wait to try it.
