Description

This 304 stainless steel ball valve has 1" / 1.5" TC flanges on both ends and is built in two main pieces. The valve can be taken apart just by loosening the large TC clamp in the center. You will gain access to the seals, ball and main valve cavity for fast cleaning which is key for any cold size operation or fermenter. The bore through the valve is exactly 5/8".

This version of the EZ clean valve has been modified to include a TIG WELDED 5/8" OD stainless steel diptube that will extend into your tank approximately 7" and downturn another 3" (can be trimmed). We can accommodate special sizing requests as well.

This is a great option for people who need a diptube or whirlpool arm in their TC ported vessels when those ports do NOT have interior TC flanges. This saves you from having to add in a separate rotating racking arm which adds a lot of cost and bulk to your connection. If you wish to make this unit rotatable while the tank is full, we recommend using the white PTFE (teflon) style TC gasket because it is less grippy. Of course, you must use caution when loosening a TC clamp with liquid in the tank. Do this at your own risk.

To reduce misunderstandings in what this unit is, we'll reiterate a few things. The 5/8" OD diptube is permanently welded to the body of the valve and is NOT removable other than with a grinder with a cutoff wheel. In contrast to the picture, the diptube is actually welded to the TC flange that is integrated into the valve body (in the picture it would be on the right side of the valve). By request we can weld the diptube to the smaller insert side of the valve as shown in the picture but in order for the valve to operate we will also have to remove the stop on the handle so that it may rotate a full 360 degrees.

We sometimes make a few of these at a time but keep in mind that ordering this item may delay shipment by 2-3 days.

5 of 5 Great addition, and customized diptube too! August 1, 2020

Wanted an ez to clean valve with no place for trub and hop crud to hide, but with a customized tube that fit my SSBrewtech BME brew kettle.  Bobby worked from my drawing and customized the length and depth so its a perfect fit! Exactly what I wanted.
