There is an insulated tubing kit that was developed specifically for the BrewBuilt Jacketed Conical though it was often out of stock. We came up with our own in-house version and made some improvements along the way and also offer it for a cheaper price.

Kit Includes:

  • 1 - Insulated 3/8" ID Tubing Set (2 x 6' lines)
  • 1 - Set of dual channel QDs with one button release.
  • 2 - 1.5" Tri-Clamps
  • 2 - 1.5" T.C. Gaskets
  • 2 - 1.5" T.C. 90 degree hose barb adapters
LINES ARE PRE-TERMINATED to the QDS and TC adapters with crimped Oetiker clamps. The spacing between the two TC flanges is specific to the Brewbuilt X2 and X3 jacketed fermenters.

What are the improvements? Lower profile since the hoses attach to the TC ports with hardware 90s. The short length of tubing that is left connected to the jacket space gives you SOME protection against overpressurizing the jacket during CIP cycles thought we highly recommend leaving the hoses connected when making large temperature changes. For example, if you just emptied the fermenter of beer that was cold crashed in the 35F area, you do not want to disconnect the glycol hoses and run a 150F CIP cycle. The huge jump in glycol temp in the jacket will likely blow the QD off the hoses.
