12" Domed and perforated stainless steel false bottom with high flow elbow barb connector.

The barbed elbow connector we use to attach the false bottom to the bulkhead drain has an inside cross sectional area that is 400% larger than all of the competitor products out there. When domed false bottoms first came onto the market, it included an 90 degree elbow barb where the barb's inside diameter was only a quarter inch (6mm). Everyone just accepted it and suffered through stuck sparges eventually giving domed false bottoms a bad reputation.

Note: This item is just the 12" domed false bottom and the elbow barbed connection in the center. For planning purposes, make sure whatever bulkhead you have will allow for a piece of 1/2" ID silicone tubing as that's the only way to connect to our high flow false bottom. We recommend converting over to our True Bulkhead Barb (truebulkbarb) to make ultimate use of this high flow false bottom. Also keep in mind that we include this false bottom in our full cooler conversion kit as well as our completed cooler mash tun product.

This item will fit 10 gallon Igloo and Rubbermaid round coolers and any other flat bottom vessel measuring at least 12.5" Inside Diameter.

Note: this false bottom is sturdy enough to support the weight of a static mash or a mash being drained via gravity. If you intend to use a pump on the output of the mash tun with this false bottom, you should fashion some kind of support for the center area to keep the false bottom from collapsing in the case of a compacted grain bed.

Should be a great product with some finishing, just wish I didn't have to do it myself. Mine came with all the edges extremely sharp and rust on the bottom. Going to try to clean it up with a dremel and some BKF.

Bought this for my new cooler MLT to support the bag I use for easy grain disposal in my small kitchen. It's simple and easy to clean. The area under the dome is small so I didn't need to adjust my mash water much. The only thing to watch is that the edges are rough and can easily damage gloves or hang up on brew bags.

I use this in a HERMS system with a pump and it worked great.. It wasn't exactly flush with the kettle bottom, but the weight of the grain bed seems to push it down flush.

For 15 gallon Concord pot.  Does not cover entire diameter of pot, but a majority of it does, and kept out any grains during the mash/fly-sparging process.
